Auxilium Solidality

Nature

It is an association of youth who wish to live and spread the devotion to Mary Help of Christians in their Salesian school, parish, youth center, and family. It is the movement's Marian group.

Patron

The patron of the association is Mary, Help of Christians. She is for every young Christian, a Mother and Model. The motto that ran through her life was: "I am the servant of the Lord. Let it be done as you say."

Main Goals:

Auxilium shares in the common vision of the SYM: forming good Christians and honest citizens. It emphasizes Christian growth along the features of Mary, the Christian par excellence. The main goals of the association are:

1. That the members grow in Christian holiness, through the example and intercession of Mary, Help of Christians.
2. That the members, as a group, spread through action and witness the devotion of Mary, especially under the title of Help of Christians.
3. That the members as individuals, now while young and later as adults, foster a genuine and dynamic devotion to Mary.

Biblos

Nature

BIBLOS is an association of young people who desire to study, know, and live the word of God more intensely. It is now offered as an association at national level within SYM of the Philippines.

Patron

The patron of Biblos is St. Jerome. He distinguished himself in the Church because of his greatest love for the Word of God.

Main Goals:

Biblos shares in the common vision of the SYM: to contribute, in ways proper to youth, to the growth of God's Kingdom in today's world. In particular, it works for the following aims:

1. That the members study seriously the Word of God individually and in groups.
2. That the members strive to live the Word of God in their daily lives.
3. That the members share the message of the Bible in their families, schools, parishes, and communities.
4. That the members become effective Christian leaders by bringing the message and values of the Bible to society.

Friends of Laura Vicuna

Nature

The Friends of Laura Vicuna is an association of young students who desire to follow the example of Blessed Laura Vicuna in the life of piety, love of family, and a life of purity.

Patron

The Friends of Laura Vicuna is an association of young students who aspire to lead a life of sympathy, respect for their families, and cleanliness like Blessed Laura Vicuna.

Main Goals:

The Friends of Laura Vicuna shares in the common vision of the SYM: to contribute, in ways proper to youth, to the growth of God's Kingdom in today's world. In particular, it works for the following aims:

1. That community will continue to bless Laura Vicuna's inspiration to live a beautiful and pure life.
2. By frequently partaking in the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation, as well as by establishing a pattern of youth, the members of the community develop a very personal contact with Christ.
3. That members make an effort to support their families' righteousness in the same way Laura demonstrated.

Savio Friends Club

Nature

The SAVIO FRIENDS CLUB is an association of young people who desire to follow the example of the boy-saint, Dominic Savio.

Patron

The patron of the Savio Friends Club is St. Dominic Savio who was known to be a good leader amongst his peers.

Main Goals:

The Savio Friends Club shares in the common vision of the SYM: to contribute, in ways proper to youth, to the growth of God's Kingdom in today's world. In particular, it works for the following aims:

1. That the members live a holy and active life in the style of St. Dominic Savio.
2. That the members establish a deep personal relationship with Christ by participating regularly in the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation.
3. That the members model their family life after the example of the Holy Family as St. Dominic Savio did.

Lilies of the Altar

Nature

The LILIES OF THE ALTAR (LOA) is the SYM Youth Group for girls who desire to grow in intimacy with Christ in the Eucharist.

Patron

The patron of the Lilies of the Altar is St. Maria Goretti who was known for her heroic defense of purity.

Main Goals:

The Lilies of Altar shares in the common vision of the SYM: leading the young to Christ, the Perfect Human Person. In particular, it emphasizes the personal relationship that should develop between Jesus Christ and the young member. The main goals are:

1. That the members grow in Christian holiness, through a deeper encounter and relationship with Christ, present in the Liturgy and the Eucharist.
2. That the members, as a group, contribute towards meaningful liturgies in the Christian communities of their schools and parishes.
3. That the members as individuals, bear witness to Christ, now as young apostles and later as mature Christians through a genuine spirit of prayer and intimacy with Christ.
4. That some members may eventually be inspired to serve God in the religious life.

Knights of the Altar

Nature

The KNIGHTS OF THE ALTAR (KOA) is an association of boys and young men who desire to grow in intimacy with Christ in the Eucharist.

Patron

The patron of the association are St. Tarcisius, the 3rd century teenage martyr known for his devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, and St. Pedro Calungsod, a teenage Filipino martyr in the 17th century who was also an exemplary sacristan and teacher of catechism.

Main Goals:

The Knights of the Altar shares in the common vision of the SYM: leading the young to Christ, the Perfect Human Person. In particular, it emphasizes the personal relationship that should develop between Jesus Christ and the young member.

1. That the members grow in Christian holiness, through a deeper encounter and relationship with Christ, present in the Liturgy and the Eucharist.
2. That the members, as a group, contribute towards meaningful liturgies in the Christian communities of their schools and parishes.

Zatti Friends

Nature

The ZATTI FRIENDS is a group of young people who desire to follow the example of Blessed Artemide Zatti.

Patron

The patron of Zatti Friends is the Salesian Brother Blessed Artemide Zatti (1880–1951) who was known for the care and attention that he gave to the sick.

Main Goals:

The Zatti Friends shares in the common vision of the SYM: to contribute, in ways proper to youth, to the growth of God's Kingdom in today's world. In particular, it works for the following aims:

1. That the members live a holy life and charity in the style of Blessed Artemide Zatti.
2. That the members establish a deep personal relationship with Christ by participating regularly in the sacraments of the Eucharist and Reconciliation and by developing a rhythm of youthful prayer.
3. That the members willingly serve the youth groups and community through medical assistance, in particular by administering first aid.

Juventus

Nature

JUVENTUS is an association that gathers together members who are fascinated by the work of St. John Bosco for young people and desire to follow in his footsteps. Juventus was established as an association on the national level within the SYM in 1988.

Patron

The patron of the association is St. John Bosco, Father and teacher of youth, Patron of Media, Great Educator, and Evangelizer. His motto guided him in all his undertakings: "Give me souls, take away the rest."

Main Goals:

Juventus shares in the vast vision of the SYM as it gives special emphasis to the figure of St. John Bosco, and to his untiring work for young people. ITS MAIN AIMS ARE:

1. That the members grow in their personal lives, as young Christians, who are active, apostolic and committed to Jesus Christ according to the style of St. John Bosco.
2. That the members, as a group, study the doctrines of the Catholic Church for better understanding, authentic living, and committed sharing with their fellow youth, especially through evangelization.
3. That the members, as a group, undergo a systematic and developmental education in the critical and aesthetic use of the mass media.
4. That the members experience community-building through various ministries within and outside the association.
