New School principal named
The Salesian Board of Trustees designated Dr. Estelita H. Duran to the new role of principal of the integrated school, Saint Louis School of Don Bosco, Inc. effective July 1, 2019 for both elementary, junior and senior high school.
Duran brings to the position her over 30 years of service, as well as her academic attainments namely: MS Math in 2009, MMEdA in 2017 and her PH. D Math in 2019. In addition, as a parent of SLS-Don Bosco alumni, she possesses a rich understanding and deep appreciation of the Salesian charism.
“Basically, I still feel the same as last year when I was the assistant principal, although I know that I have a bigger responsibility and accountability to tackle,” Duran expressed.
My top priorities for this school year being the school principal of the institution is to pass the recertification of the PEAC for the good of the high school students as well as the teachers, and to be ready for the final visit of the PAASCU Accreditation Team in March, she added.
Duran ended the interview with the message: “Bosconians, continue to be God-loving and respectful to the elders. Be diligent in your studies and be empowered and holy.”
