Provincial Superior installs new School Rector
PROVIDENCE- Rev. Fr. Norman Broderick T. Segovia, SDB was installed by Provincial Superior of the South, Rev. Fr. Godofredo Atienza, SDB as new rector of Saint Louis School of Don Bosco, INC. during the Holy Mass at the SLSDB School Chapel on May 21, officially marking the start of the school year.
“A rector, like St. John Bosco, ought to be a father, brother, and friend.” That is itself is already a big responsibility to bear. But with everyone on the same page for the good of the institution, I do believe we will carry this hard task together. That would make the load a bit lighter, said Fr. Brodie.
Fr. Brodie shared that it is his aim to continue attaining the Vision-Mission statements of the school, may it be from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) or Salesian point of view. These are our guiding principles or compass for the future of the school, not only during this school year but for the years to come, he added.
“I look forward that each student would challenge himself or herself to become better every day, which are instilled in the core values of SLSDB, namely to be “God- centered”, to experience “family spirit,” to aspire “commitment to excellence,” and to live “social responsibility,” said Fr. Brodie.
Fr. Brodie ended the interview with a message addressed to all Bosconians. “Bosconians, be prayerful because God loves you. Be friendly to all because everyone here is a brother and sister. Be obedient to your parents and guardians because they give their best for you. Studies first because that is your priority in school.”
